Ajile is pleased to announce the awarding of our third research grant from the National Research Council of Canada via the Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP). This new project will support the ongoing development of the next generation DepthScan 3D Imaging system and allow research into new 3D analysis algorithms for metrology and vision guided robotics tasks.

IRAP is Canada’s premier innovation assistance program for small and medium-sized enterprises, and is widely respected globally as one of the best programs of its kind. The support provided by this program helps businesses to transform their ideas into commercial success. Previous IRAP support has been instrumental in helping Ajile to release their DepthScan 3D Imager, which is now commercially available and offers flexible trade-offs between high accuracy mode (4 million accurate color 3D points captured at 2 Hz), and high speed mode (1 million 3D points captured at 30 Hz).

This new 20 month IRAP project will allow the Ajile team to apply its scientific and engineering expertise to the task of adding innovative new features to the DepthScan and to further expand its software analysis capabilities for a wide variety of applications.
